Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.
Friends, we have to postpone Friday night’s show in Montgomery, AL. It was supposed to be a Whippoorwill 10th anniversary show, but due to the current circumstances we do not feel right about trying to put something together for this FRIDAY. Earlier this week, Brit suffered an episode and needed to be taken to the ER. He was feeling alright but due to the issues from his recent heart attack, his medical team elected to keep him in the hospital and run a series of tests to determine what could have caused the situation. Upon receiving an MRI they found a tumor on his brain in the frontal lobe. We do not know any more than that at this time. Brit is now undergoing surgery and more testing to find out what his next steps to a healthy recovery will be. Due to how close the Montgomery show is, and taking into consideration people’s plans, we need to postpone it at this time. Hold on to your tickets as the new date will be announced soon. If you can’t wait, we understand, refunds are available at your point of purchase for this show.
Our plan is to be in Jacksonville at Daily’s Place this SATURDAY with The Turnpike Troubadours and perform that show acoustic without Brit. We ask that you please bear with us for a few more days while we make determinations about other upcoming shows. We want to allow Brit and his family time to process everything going on, and to consult with their physicians on the best way to get our brother back out with us. Thank you all for the support and understanding.
